While the free agency period still has a few days to go, all the spots have been filled. All six PWHL teams had three spots they could fill, and each has now done so. Over the last few days each team has revealed their franchise cornerstones, and now I can release this article in full. So, today, we are looking at each player signed during the initial free agency period for this new league.
I do also want to note: I’m likely incorrect on PWHPA details, and I am sorry. I didn’t follow the league all that closely, and finding stats and information for that league is rough. The league itself was quite horrible at providing any sort of stats, information, or even highlights (which is why I never covered it). So, take what I say about the PWHPA lightly, it’s likely wrong. Unfortunately, all we have now is Elite Prospects (which has little to none information on the PWHPA) and Wikipedia (even worse). So, understand, any information I have on a player, whether they played in the league or not or whatever, comes solely through those two sites.
Also, before we start: we are in the middle of the off-season for this newsletter currently. From July 30-October 1, all articles will be exclusive to paid subscribers.
